If you follow us on socials you’ll definitely have seen me having the best time in Spain recently. It’s been 3 years since we’ve been back to our favourite place on Earth, Javea (it’s so special to us, I even got married there 5 years ago!). It was being back that absolutely inspired my new scent – more on that in a sec

It was the ultimate switch off and recharge I didn’t know I needed. I practiced Yoga, hiked, ran a couple of times at sunrise, read books and swam in the med every day. Not to mention the tapas and vino – It was bliss!

Everywhere I went there was the most gorgeous smelling orange groves (even in the garden – which I used to pick fresh for my morning juice!) I just knew that I HAD to try capture this time in a candle scent and share it with you lot.

As soon as I got back (fully charged and raring to go) the hunt for the perfect scent began and I’m absolutely THRILLED to share my newscast – Valencia Orange and Chilli. It’s heavenly and every time I smell it, I’m whisked back to my little place of paradise. I jus know you’ll love it as much as I do.

Hiya! We all know how important it is to support local businesses and this was never better than when then pandemic hit, but over the past few months I’m starting to feel like it’s falling by the wayside a little, what with the world opening back up & the ease & convenience of a certain Prime membership & ASOS next day delivery (yup, I’m guilty of it too sometime) but I’ve recently tried to refocus on shopping small & supporting local.

The Barre – The MOST gorgeous studio situated in Ouseburn which I’ve recently started going to and it’s just dreamy. Sarah and her team are fantastic and I’ve never felt more welcomed. The studio is stunning, the environment is friendly & relaxed and my god do you feel like you’ve had a work out by the end of the session! Check out their website & claim your free session in June! Diya Wellness After attending one of these classes, you need to run home and jump straight onto a hot bath using the BEST Diya Wellness bath salts! They smell DIVINE and I’ve never been as relaxed

I’ve been busy in the studio this week adding a new scent to my wax melt collection. This one is going to be really good for indulging yourself in some relaxation and self-care. Bliss.

If you follow us on social media, you might have seen that I’ve recently been to Dubai (yep, still talking about it – it had been rescheduled 4 times, so let me off!) and it was everything we had imagined and more. Visited the top of the world’s tallest building? Done! Cocktails at the Armani Hotel? Yep that too. Sipping champers at the swim up bar? Couldn’t say no! Expo2020? We just had to. 

Anyway, I sidetrack, one of my most favorite fragrances in the whole world is Oud and it’s been used for centuries in the Middle East, India and South-East Asia. So while on holiday I visited the Perfume Souk and it was everything I wanted it to be, needless to say, I came home with enough Oud perfume to last me (and probably most of the North East!) a lifetime.  My most favourite was Rose and Oud, as I found it to be strong and musky but with floral top notes, keeping it light.  

As soon as I got home, the search was on to find the perfect oil and I managed to get my mitts on some.  I’m certain you’re going to love it just as much as I do. 

Aside from it’s gorgeous scent, the benefits of Oud in your home are just amazing. It is often associated with harmony, serenity of spirit and when used regularly, the removal of destructive and negative energies in the home.  It’s a highly effective aid for meditation, as it’s also known to enhance mental clarity. 

Hi – Happy Friday!  

I’ve been mega busy over the last few months working on giving my studio a proper little glow up.  When I started making my soy wax candles back in March last year, it was in my tiny tiny kitchen (cute fridge though, right?) and it was only a matter of time before my husband started divorce proceedings due to me getting wax EVERYWHERE and on everything.  

After weeks of trying to find a solution and scoping out potential studios, I stumbled across The John Marley Centre.  It’s the most stunning art deco building which used to be an old school. I instantly fell in love and it’s full of artist studios and other like-minded creatives (I felt like I’d come home!). This is the perfect place for me to make my vegan candles and not bother anybody!

I officially took the leap and got the keys on 9th July last year. I’ve never looked back and it’s been a slow and steady race trying to get it to where it is now. Below you will see what it looked like when I moved in, but scroll down to see what I’ve done with the place! ❤️

I now have a gorgeous space to make my candles, pack all your lovely orders and sit and do my admin (and there’s A LOT of it to be done – those markets don’t organise themselves, sadly!) 

You’re now able to pop to my studio by appointment to come see the candles and in the coming months I’m looking forward to having open nights and making the most of the gorgeous common room – think of an evening with all your favourite candles, some fizz and some music, and you’re on the right track.

For a little while I’ve been working on my new summer scents and  what screams Summer more than watermelon? 

Enjoy this warm-weather treat any time of the year! Our Single Wick Candle is made with 100% vegan soy wax and a high concentrate of sweet, juicy watermelon fragrance oil, which will fill any room.  Our candles burn for around 20-30 hours and this one really does smell good enough to eat! 

So Christmas is over already! How does it go so fast! 

We’re now in the bit in between where you don’t know the day or time or anything logical, however it’s proven a great time to get stuck into my studio and restock! 

Our Lavender soy wax candle has flown out over the last few weeks so I’m all fully restocked and ready to go again!
